Oil painting remains the most versatile of the painting media. This course is suitable for all levels, from beginners to the more advanced.

About the Tutor:

Tony was born in Sussex but whisked off to Manchester soon after. Achieved a B.A. Hons in Fine Art (Painting) and has since kept developing these skills. Spent more than a decade in Advertising before deciding to change lifestyle. Now enjoying a simpler life painting, selling paintings, organising workshops and classes. Tony has exhibited in galleries as far afield as Ankara, Turkey, and the Mall Galleries, London. Recently joined the digital world on Instagram @tonyswannart.

General FAQs:

What will I need to bring?

For the first class bring a selection of oil brushes (e.g. size 4, 6, 8 and 10), a medium like linseed oil, a brush cleaner like Zest-it/Sansodor, a palette (wooden or tear-off), an empty jam jar or sealable glass jar, and something to paint on like a canvas or canvas board.

Plus a selection of oil paints – the following will be sufficient: Titanium White, Ultramarine Blue, Viridian, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Umber, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red
