Portrait painting is one of the oldest and most popular forms of art.
These workshops enable students to spend a day drawing and painting from a model to learn the skills and techniques of portraiture.
Working with a live sitter ( a different model to the previous February workshop), these workshops are suitable for both experienced and novice artists alike who may use any painting or drawing medium they choose. A limited supply of paper and, pastels will be available for purchase and a few easels and drawing boards will be on hand, but you are advised to bring your own if you have them. For the comfort of others, painters in oils are requested to use low odour thinners rather than turps.
