10.30- 1.00
An additional fee of £1 temporary membership applies to non BHCA members.

This workshop will start with some short poses for pencil or charcoal drawings. A long pose will follow allowing for the possibility of using paint or your own choice of medium.
Please bring with you all your own art materials; it would be useful to bring an easel if have one, and a board to rest your paper on, though some will be available at the workshop.

Coffee/tea will be available but you are advised to bring a packed lunch. All levels of ability are welcome.

Drawing from the human figure is essential to the development of artists wishing to improve their ability to express form and structure. We will explore a whole range of poses from short quick sketches to longer set poses. Basic drawing skills and observational techniques will be taught.

We welcome all abilities to this group. If you have never been to a life drawing class before you have no need to feel inhibited as this is the most productive way to learn how to draw and paint. A wide range of media can be used and advice and information on pencils, pastels, paints and other media will be given in addition to techniques.

Please bring an A2 drawing pad, a selection of pencils or charcoal and a putty rubber.
