Learn to Paint butterflies and Moths

A day exploring how to depict (in a variety of drawing and water-based painting media) the beauty and fascination of butterflies and other insects, and their habitats.

An introductory course in the pleasure of painting butterflies and Moths. This is an interesting and enjoyable course that will provide learners with good quality templates ready to paint and helpful tips and ideas in watercolour and mixed media. You will need a watercolour set, a round head brush size 6, plus lead pencils 2B, and watercolour pencils will be useful to help with detail. A water pot and watercolour paper would be required if you would like to create more expressive work based on Butterflies.

Katherine is a local artist with a diploma from the Society of Botanical Artists she also has a degree in Illustration from Kingston University. She teaches at Redbridge Adult Education and regularly exhibits her work . In 2018 she had major shows at Lopping Hall and The View in Chingford. Butterflies form a major part of her work on Hedgerows and local woodland,
