This half-day workshop provides an opportunity to design and make your own Christmas wreath.
You will wire bent twigs together to form a circular base of your chosen size. Then wind tinsel and/ or sprigs of greenery around the base with wire. You will then finish by wiring some further decorative items on top of the greenery. Sprigs of conifers, holly and ivy will be supplied as greenery. Also pine cones in various shapes and sizes, either natural in colour or spray painted, will be available and can be used as decorations.
It would be advisable to collect and bring other items you would like to add into your wreath to make it personal, or to match your house’s Christmas theme, such as small Christmas decorations or baubles or other natural materials. Some ribbon will be available to purchase, but if you would like a ribbon bow of a particular colour please bring your own ribbon.
You will need to bring:
- – an apron to cover your clothes,
- – some gloves (either gardening or plastic) to protect your hands,
- – a pair of wire cutters or old scissors, and a pair of pliers for cutting and winding the wire,
- – ribbon (if you wish) and additional small Christmas decorations /baubles, tinsel etc.
